Mahalo for choosing to trust us with your pet's healthcare. Here's everything you need to know before your visit.
Mahalo for choosing to trust us with your pet's healthcare needs. Your pet's health and wellbeing are our priority, and we want to create a partnership built on understanding, communication, and mutual respect delivered with care and compassion.
We are a privately-owned small business offering primary care to dogs and cats. We are located inside Mililani PetSmart at 95-660 Lanikuhana Avenue, Mililani HI 96789.
We see pets by appointment only. If you arrive without an appointment, we will schedule your pet for the next available slot — this will usually require returning another day. In the event of an emergency we may refer you to an emergency or specialty clinic.
We send text and email reminders a couple days in advance. Please reply to confirm your appointment. If we don't get a confirmation, we'll try to call you the day before. It is your responsibility to arrive on time or let us know if you cannot make it.
Please make sure we always have your updated contact information.
Every appointment — routine illness, injury, or surgical procedure — is valuable clinic time. Every no-show or last-minute cancellation takes away an opportunity to help another pet in need.
In the event of an actual emergency where prior notice was not possible, consideration of waiving any fee may be given at the discretion of clinic management with supporting evidence.
Existing clients who miss two (2) appointments in a rolling 12-month period will be required to pay a deposit for all future appointments.
We require a deposit equal to the exam fee (per pet) to reserve your appointment. This deposit will be credited toward your scheduled visit.
If you need to reschedule with sufficient notice (see cancellation policy above), the deposit remains as a credit for the rescheduled appointment. The deposit is non-refundable in the case of a no-show or late cancellation.
If you booked online, a staff member will contact you to collect the deposit. We accept deposits in person, over the phone, or via an online invoice link.
Payment is due at the time of your visit. You are responsible for all fees for products and services provided on the day of your appointment.
We accept:
We do not accept checks or offer in-house payment plans. We encourage you to apply for CareCredit or Scratch Pay in advance of your pet's appointment or surgery.
One of our veterinarians must physically examine your pet within the past 12 months to prescribe any medication — including flea & tick preventives, heartworm preventives, and dewormers.
Heartworm testing is required at 7 months of age and annually thereafter, even when dogs are on year-round prevention. It is possible for a pet to spit out or vomit medication without your knowledge.
Some long-term medications require periodic blood work, including regular NSAID use, thyroid medications, heart medications, insulin, and steroids.
Written prescriptions: If you prefer to use an outside pharmacy, we will provide a written prescription with a fee assessed each time it is written. Fees are waived for prescription food. Disclaimer: when products are dispensed outside of the clinic, we cannot honor promotional discounts or guarantee the product's efficacy or safety. (Policy effective March 1, 2025)
All pets must be appropriately secured — leashed or confined in a carrier — when at the clinic. If an accident occurs due to failure to properly restrain your pet, liability falls solely on the pet owner.
We do our best to safely and professionally handle pets that are aggressive. You may be asked to place a muzzle on an aggressive dog or administer sedatives prior to your appointment for the safety of everyone.
Our clinic has the right to terminate a relationship with any client who:
